Very comfortable, good sound February 20, 2008 JackJack (Glasgow, UK) 3 out of 8 found this review helpful
There are 2 types of earphones - the traditional type, and the type that sit deep within the ear canal. It seems that you either like one type or the other, and I think the people who post negative reviews about these headphones simply prefer the "deep inside the ear" type. I don't like the sensation of "deep in the ear" phones. Personally, I much prefer these headphones to any others that I have tried. The most important thing about headphones for me is comfort and good quality sound, and these headphones deliver both for a very reasonable price. Buy!

Do not listen to any of the above reviews. I have found the iPod headphones to be fantastic since i brought my 30GB iPod in December. The sound quality is magnificently clear, and they are very durable. Mine are starting to wear a little bit now but having said that they are still in fantastic working order. If you look after them well then you shouldn't have any problems whatsoever.

These 'phones are constantly down rated. I've got three pairs (bought with 3 different iPods) and have had no problems with them at all. I've worn them to work, in the gym, on aircraft etc and have always been very pleased with the sound quality (maybe it's down to the recording 'rate'?!) and fit. Granted a pair of Bose on ear or Grado SR90's wouldn't go amiss, but they're not the most portable are they! I'm especially impressed with the sound quality whilst watching movies on the 'pods. Hey, they're ear buds. Do people expect surround sound or something?!?!
brilliant while they last October 13, 2007 Jasper 9 out of 13 found this review helpful
dont get me wrong the apple ipod earphones are really good quality, but they arent the most durable earphones, i have had mine for at least 8 months, after 5 months (which granted is quite a long time for earphones) the ear pieces started to break apart. a month later the cable started to come away from the plug, tried to fix it, but ultimately the sound quality dropped drastically. However many of my friends have had no problems with them and are very pleased with them so 20 quid for an 8+ month period isnt such a bad deal.
durable? January 26, 2008 Tom (UK) i got my Ipod Touch (with these earphones supplied) when it came out, now it is only January and they've already broken: the right earphone emits static it makes all my music sound like the jesus and the mary chain. Regardless they give decent and are louder then the 1st generation of original apple headphones.
