Klipsch SXT January 21, 2008 J. Southwood (N.W. England) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
My wife and I are very happy with this wonderful unit. As a retired U.S. Broadcaster, I'm very familar with Klipsch quality. This plug-and-play unit has wonderful fidelity and if you close your eyes, sitting in the same room with the SXT, you can't tell the difference between it and a wall-full of equipment!! Well worth the price, folks. This is a great buy and the sound will knock your socks off!! Well done Klipsch!!
Stunning! January 5, 2008 Book Heaven (Sussex, UK) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
Looks stylish and sounds amazing. I had wanted to buy an Altec Lansing system, but couldn't find anything within my budget which would work with the iPod Classic. The reviews for the Klipsch were all very good, so I decided to choose the iGroove SXT, and I'm very glad I did. Would highly recommend this.

Looks great though smaller than I anticipated, sounds magnificent, really punchy and at its loudest is quite deafening. Bought on the back of recommendations relating to an earlier model and this has higher spec. I don't think you will be disappointed with this. My only dispaoointment is that I committed to buy when product was out of stock at 99.99. When it came back in stock Amazon dropped the price by 10, what a great way to repay loyal customers Amazon
Very Impressed January 10, 2008 Mr Mister (UK) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
What I wanted was a discreet quality Ipod amp/speaker dock for under 100 quid. Primarily to use in the kitchen and study/bedroom. I had never heard of Klipsch but they seemed well reviewed, so I crossed my fingers and ordered the STX. I also considered the bigger HG model as well but, preferred the look, size and price the STX. Both seemed to have similar specs anyway. First impressions are... My! it certainly is small! but is actually quite heavy and has a solid "well made" look and feel about it. The STX has exceeded my expectations sound-wise, as others have already said; if you crank it up it certainly can pack a punch with impressive bass and the mid and top end all in there as well, some other units I have heard are bassey but do not have enough mid and a bit much top and sound a bit unnatural, not this one though sounds great both loud and mid volume, clear and warm for such a tiny thing. Also as important to me are low volume levels, the STX still sounds warm and rich, everything's there and well balanced when its turned right down. This is always a sign of good design and quality, I think. Niggles: It said in the instructions that the apple dock adapter (that comes with your Ipod) would fit the STX, I have a 160GB Classic and the dock adapter that came with it (no 10) does not fit in the STX, Klipsch do provide their own adapters with the STX, most sizes apart from 10!! duno if it just got missed out or they haven't made one yet. Anyway the no 1 seems to work with the classic for now. Anyone else get a size 10 with their STX? It would be nice to have more control of the Ipod via the remote, i.e. get into menus and play-lists etc. Proper buttons on the remote would be better as well. Conclusion: For 89 you really cannot go wrong though, you could easily pay as much or more for less. I am very happy with my purchase. Sounds really great looks good. I will definitely be checking out more Klipsch products in the future.
Great piece of kit ! January 13, 2008 R. Disley (Lancashire, England) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
The Klipsch iGroove SXT is fast establishing a great reputation and well deserved.I pondered for ages as to whether or not to buy the SXT or the larger iGroove. In the end the smaller and newer SXT won and I've never had it turned off ! The sound is truly amazing for such a small unit and is very smooth and easy to listen to - and, there's plenty of it for most living rooms. Its smaller size (4" on length) does not compromise the sound quality and 1/4 inch less on tweeter dia.gives a freq. reponse up to 20 kHz (17kHz for the HG with 1" tweeters). Crossover frequency is 6kHz compared to 2.9kHz on the HG and the bass is punchy enough for my ears ! Styling is beautiful with black cloth and silver trim. I initially had some concern as to whether it would accept my first generation nano but an E-Mail to Promedia (Klipsch Web Site) was quickly answered advising that Dock Insert No 8 would be fine. In fact when the unit arrived it had nine various dock inserts provided. I am very happy with the unit and I am sure anyone contemplating purchase of the SXT can't go wrong especially at the price offered.
