Bought these recently and have to say I am very impressed. Build quality is excellent, they are quite lightweight and pack away into their supplied travel case. I have to say they are smaller than I thought due to the fold out legs that support them from behind. The sound is the important thing though and having wandered around many electrical shops with my Ipod trying different options these came out easily on top. Bass is never going to be great in travel speakers but I can still happily listen to Dance music without having to worry about missing the point! The volume of these little speakers is the real selling point though. They will easily fill a medium size room with rich sound and on a beach you can actually hear the music without straining or having to sit right on top of the speakers. I generally listen to them on full volume and haven't heard any distortion yet. Heartily recommended - if you want some travel speakers that you can actually hear buy these.

I bought this last year to take on holiday and have since used it everywhere, with and without mains. Initially I use to hook up my mobile phone and play music (or the radio) through it. Since then I have got myself a 160gig Ipod Classic and it looks very cool (and more importantly sounds great!) We used it in a field during our children's' birthday party (pony party!.)It was not up too loud but you were able to hear it across the field (six acres). I use it at work a lot and can have it up loud or if needed, very quiet so I can hear it and not disturb others. Either way it sounds clear. So far 4 people have bought it after listening to mine and all have commented that they are glad that they have. If your not sure about what one to buy and concerned about buying a 'pig in a poke' then this is one is for you.

I purchased this product as a direct result of two friends having purchased the docking station to use on holiday and being very impressed. I also reffered to "what hi fi" magazine, noting it won best docking station for 2006.
Basically it does everything it says it does. Good sound,plenty of volume, good base response for a travel unit. Sounds great in an average room and comes with a great travel case. A plus is also the fact it comes with a remote.
It also works on mains or lithium battery and charges your i pod as it plays. All in all i was really pleased with my purchase.

Why are these speakers not 5 star? They are simply the best portable speakers for the price you pay, in my opinion. They can be turned up very loud and easily fill a large room with music, they can of course be used outside but the speakers don't have quite enough power as you can't hear them if your anymore than 10m away. Not bad considering their size though! Other thing is, that even when they are turned up at full volume the sound clarity is not distorted in the slightest, and the bass is quite incredible! Battery life exceeds your ipod on a full charge and they normally take bout 1-2hours to fully charge, I believe (maybe a bit more). Buy these speakers now, you won't regret it!

Bought these after reading these reviews. Seen these speakers at nearly 100 elsewhere - this is a good price.
Great sound quality from such small speakers - very compact and great for travel. It's so useful they'll charge your iPod as well.
