A real ear-splitting experiance January 1, 2008 Sticky (London) 19 out of 21 found this review helpful
The ipod nano has really really great sound. As well as being light and small it contains 4GB of games, music, contacts...everything you need in a portable ipod and more! Plus when i reseived this for Christmas I had never used an ipod before and i found it really easy to use. I would recomend this anyone!
Great device December 20, 2007 Mr. Shon W. Lewis 17 out of 19 found this review helpful
Looking at some of the reviews below its hard not to assume that some people have either never held an iPod in their hands before, or they just don't know how to use them properly. In the right hands the iPod is one of (if not) the most versatile mp3 player out there, none of the others come close, either in innovation or style. Current iPod users will know what I mean when I say that from the second you open the box it smacks of pure quality, and feels much more solid than its plastic counterparts. I've had 3 iPod generations, and am currently using a 4th gen 60Gb Video and the above Nano. My video is almost 2 years old, and its gone with me in the car, gym, trail riding...and been dropped twice (albeit with a good cover on it!) without any lasting effects and this new Nano so far seems to be just as sturdy. How someone could damage this thing short of driving over it is beyond me. It's a great little bit of kit, 4Gb isn't huge, but for the quality and sheer amount of options you have for under a ton its acceptable, if you ensure that all songs are 128kb before transferring them to the Nano it will hold 1500 tracks, alternatively 4 high quality movies or 7000 photos. If you're looking for a player that will store a few hunred songs and a couple of movies whilst you're working out this is perfect, but if you want something to store all your movies, songs, photos etc, you'd be better off purchasing the iPod Videos. All in all a compact, very user friendly device that can be used by anyone, but those with a basic knowledge of music file formats and transferring will get the best out of it.
Stunning! December 1, 2007 D. Gill (Surrey, England) 14 out of 16 found this review helpful
That's the best word to describe the new nano! Its got to be one of the best purchases i've ever made. So many features, so many options and so easy to get started, just plugged it in, registered my ipod and then well it synchrionized, charged and i was away. So many features it's unbelieveable; stopwatch, finding the time anywhere in the world, great games built-in, calendar, all these little bonuses are fantastic, it's also great the way that everything is displayed and information can be accessed so easily- you can find out how much space is left on your ipod easily and change the settings for your every need. The sound quality is great as well. But with everyone talking about the screen size, well it's brilliant, the picture quality and detail is amazing for 2 inches and being able to watch music vids, tv shows, movies and podcasts is quality and normally i'd say the ipods aren't worth the price tag but for 90 here off amazon- it's great value and worth every penny! p.s. make sure you have or you can get itunes before you buy!
Why did i not get one of these before? February 9, 2008 Nobbly 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
I have to say i am really chuffed with this MP3 player. Having been an Ipod basher and saying to many friends why do want one of those? I finally succumbed to buying one after my Creative Zen v+ when kaput! I am sooooooooo glad i have bought one now. This has to be one of the quickest and simplest things to use around. 10 minutes to download the software from the Apple site 10 minutes to register my Ipod and before i knew it i spent 10 on the iTunes website. Now for the Ipod itself. The quality of the screen is awesome crystal clear and there are some really nice touches on there. Such as Cover Flow option (sorting through the album covers)is brilliant (i like simple things). The sound quality is great too and being able to watch TV programes and videos. Being able to shuffle and place music in any order is a real revelation to me. Something i could not do with my Creative. My only gripe is the position of the ear plug jack could do with being on top rather than at the bottom. I love this piece of kit and so, so glad i have bought one now and i urge people to go and buy one too.
