A commuting pariah no longer October 27, 2005 Mark (Brighton, sussex United Kingdom) 40 out of 42 found this review helpful
Absolutely perfect for the train. These earphones have made my daily commute a joy. No longer do I get glowered at for playing music, and no longer does my music get spoiled by annoying things like noisy eaters, people talking and other people's "personal stereos". Great sound quality with excellent bass. Battery is lasting longer on my mp3 player because I don't need to have it so loud any more. They make it possible to listen to quiet music if you should feel the need. Take some getting used to at first, essentially like walking around with your fingers in your ears. Bodily sound are amplified (DO NOT EAT CRISPS WITH THESE EARPHONES IN!) and the sounds of everyday life abolished (e.g. approaching cars, railway announcements). They don't fall out as often as I'd expected, but i think jogging with them would be difficult (and noisy). For what I use them for these are the perfect earphones

Great earphones. I had sony ex-71sl in-ear phones and fontopia earphones which pailed in comparison with these. Of build quality both the sony's were poor only lasting 6 months, however as these creatives are new then i cannot comment on these just yet. The sony ex's were more expensive but produced a less detailed sound than the creatives. The sony's sounded warmer, ie noticeably muffled with the bass and mid range clashing. On the other end of the sound spectrum the creative's give out a far more detailed sound with clear definition between treble, mid and bass. The drawback with this clarity is the bass can sound slightly raspy on certain music tho, like dance. The creatives also have a cleaner design and look cooler than both sonys though the design of the chord is not as good as sony. ie V-neck for creatives compared to offset for sony. Both in-earphones give great sound isolation due to the nature of their design. Overall the creative ep-630 is far superior regardless of it being about two-thirds of the price of the sony ex-71 sl. A bargain.
Amazin for price May 22, 2006 Charlie99 (UK) 21 out of 22 found this review helpful
I bought these awhile back for my ipod mini cause the ipod earphones (which cost around 30 by the way) dent extremely easily causing this huge buzzing sound. I found them excellent, not only are they much louder than any normal earphones but surpass most other in-ears on volume. When i wear them I can hear nothing around me, it even has no trouble competing with the school bus journey I take each day with about 50 12 yr olds screaming at the top of their voices. In addition not only are you spared from any unwanted outside noise, but they're really good for insulating the sound so you don't annoy other people (even when on full volume). The only problem is when you have them on they're so good at blocking out other noise, that they become a safety hazard. Frequently I haven't heard the phone or the doorbell ring as a result of using these (even when I'm right next to them) and if there was a fire or something like that I would be totally unaware. The headphones themselves have a nice design and look really sleek, it come with 3 different size of ear piece so you can decide which fits best. Often in the past I have troubles with wires or the actual ear piece breaking after constant bashing on tables and in pockets, but the EP-630's have a study structure and are not easily broken. Overall for around 16 I give them 5/5 stars, 10 times better than alot of headphones twice that price.
Creative CAN do earphones January 31, 2006 Tom 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
These earphones are truly superb for the price. The sound quality (especially the awesome base) is extremely satisfying and will do justice to any type of music. The noise isolation blocks out pretty much any unwanted sound and doesn't disturb others around you even at decent volume levels. I bought some to go with my Creative Zen mp3 player and they complement it perfectly. Even after prolonged periods of use they remain very confortable. If you're looking for reasonably priced earphones with great sound, look no further, buy these NOW!
good sound - good isolation - good value for money February 2, 2006 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I was looking for noise-cancelling earphones/headphones, and decided to go for these as they were one of the most affordable.I work in a really noisy office and I was looking for good noise cancellation, and I must say it's very good, much better than I thought. They're comfortable, and the sound is really good. I'd buy them again even if they cost twice as much. Great buy.
