I bought this last week with my new iPod touch - it is fab!
You plug it in and go - it is that good. you can either set it up with just the aux cable and stick the iPod on shuffle and leave it going all day, or use it with the car charger and it allows you to flick to the next song, or back to the previous, and pause too. Really handy if your ciggarette lighter is near the gear stick and you dont have to worry about stretching to switch the track when one of your husbands rotten songs starts blaring through the stereo!!

this product relly does work well. you plug the man console into the cigarette lighter and then plug in either end of the other wire into the main console and the other end into the AUX input. the other end of the main console wire u plug into your ipod. i have an ipod touch and it does work. u have to actually swtich on the engine for it to work. i have a 08 plate mini cooper S and a 57 plate bmw 5 series and it works. it is really good because both wires can go under where the mini's AUX input is and does not interfear with the gearstick or anything, can be easily tucked away. same with the bmw, can fit in the armrest easily.
i compared this with other AUX attachments available on here and those retractable ones do not work at all, they breaak, this will not break, it even says on the main console when ur ipod is charged

Tried with the iphone 3G and it works a treat. No errors or funny messages. Plugged it in, pressed play on the charger and the iphone goes straight into ipod function. While playing, I went into the phone function and the iphone muted the music while I was on the phone. As soon as I hanged up, it returned to the ipod.
Sound quality is great as its using the digital output and not the headphones one. Hi-Lo volume switch very useful as well.
Quality of the product is spot-on and at this price it's a bargain.
