i bought this item as well, but forgot that there is a much better product that allows you to charge and play your iTunes over your car stereo. why bother charging the iPod in your car when you can't listen? belkin should be more fair and include the cassette mounted output to your car stereo and not exclude it from this product.

Premium Car Charger for iPodI always like to give good feed back where it's due, but unfortunately I haven't received the Premium Car Charger for iPod yet. I ordered it last year 26 Mar 2004 but no sign yet. No sign of a reply to my emails either. All in all a complete waste of time. However, I must complement them on the speed on which they accepted the money from me. If you need anything for your Ipod, suggest you use eBay that in my mind is a much better service.

I was not able to test this with an iPod yet, but it definitely doesn't work with an iPhone.
I should have read the description more carefully, but I just saw the car-charger and assumed if it works for the iPod, it should work with the iPhone as well.
If you buy for an iPod, go for it, the other reviews say it works. If you need a car-charger for your iPhone, look elsewhere.
