finally arrived April 22, 2008 Ms. R. A. Hughes (UK) 18 out of 19 found this review helpful
Its been a long wait and to be honest I thought perhaps Intempo were going to abandon this product after the shambles of another manufacturers attempt! but my iDAB arrived this morning. My first impressions were that it was smaller than I originally thought it would be. A niggle is that it took awhile to get into the box however! another observation is that it also does NOT come with headphones but uses the Apple headphones as the DAB aerial, this is neat because I worried a bit that the quality of the iDAB headphones would not be as good as my Apple ones. iDAB instructions were clear and it worked first time with my IPOD touch. Got 38 stations first attempt and sound is clear with no distortion. I am also pleased that iDAB now docks into my Logitech mm50 speakers with ease meaning I now get DAB in my living room without having one of those vile DAB radios! speakers now play DAB radio most of the time and I have DAB on my ipod at the gym. nice product bravo!
Great Product - Love it!!!! June 6, 2008 E. Marston 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
Pondered whether to buy this model or the Robert version but went for this as you can put it in your speakers. Worked well on the way to work, picked up my favourite stations and they sounded great, lost signal a little when I walked through a subway tunnel to avoid traffic but my phone also cuts out there so didn't think this unusual. Fit snugly in my pocket whilst docked onto my Nano and battery life lasted for the whole journey to and from work with quite a bit left after, which I thought was great. Also works with my Sony in ear style headphones which is great as the Apple one's hurt my ears. Haven't tried in a speaker system yet as I need to buy one, think I'll go for an Intempo set as this little device from them is great.
Yippe it's here!! April 22, 2008 C. A. Gandelli 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
I have just received it and it's brilliant! So simple and easy to use, exactly what I was looking for. The reception is cristal clear, a real pleasure for the ears! I recommend it to anyone looking to listen to DAB radio on their iPod.
Pick this one April 22, 2008 G. J. Bennett 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have been looking for reviews in various forums, and there are apparently 2 to choose from (a Roberts one and iDAB). The iDab is definitely THE ONE to pick. You can listen to DAB radio on your iPod but you can also dock it onto your iPod speakers and listen to DAB radio at home, great! And the good news is it doesn't have the turn-off after 2min problem!!
DAB for iPod - done! June 10, 2008 M. Tanner 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
At last I can listen to Five Live whilst out and about without having to buy a big portable DAB Radio (I hate having too much clutter on me!). The iDab was easy to set up, I found all the stations I needed by pressing the up and down buttons on the side. The sound quality is superb and I was a little wary as a previous review said it wasn't so good, I obviously thought this strange as this would be more to do with either the speakers or headphones that the DAB was being played through?!?! I must have been right as the sound quality was great through my Shure headphones. Very happy with it!
