GREAT! January 6, 2008 Bear Rug (Essex) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I concur with the other reviews I've read on the black version of this product-these speakers are great. Really good sound-in my conservatory they sound almost orchestral and are well worth the money. They don't go super loud but I find the volume levels more than adequate. Probably not suitable for a party. When I opened the box and saw 'not compatible with shuffle' my heart sunk as this was not made apparent. However, you can use the speakers with a shuffle due to the line-out cable that is supplied with the speakers. You also get a handy remote control-although I can only adjust the volume when using it with the shuffle. In my opinion these speakers are great value and really put the pleaseure back into listening to music-especially if, like me, you've been using your ipod with earphones.
Great value quality speakers January 15, 2008 D. Buchanan (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Got this for my son, as a bedroom set up for his new Ipod Nano. Expected a tinny sound and feel but what we get is a good build quality unit with very good sound quality indeed. I've heard units twice the price and this shames them by miles. Can't recommend these enough.
A typical mid range dock February 16, 2008 A. M. Hewlett (Dorset, UK) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
We bought this as a birthday present for the Mother-In-Law. Unfortunately I am comparing it against the Klipsch Dock (which I have) and a Bose dock (which a friend has) and it lacks something. It sounds like a big radio, the spatial sound just isn't there; it does have a bit of punch, due to the rear woofer, but to get the most of it I would suggest putting it infront of a wall. I would recommend spending another 50 and buying the Klipsch, if you don't have another 50 to spend - just remember this is a typical mid range dock.
