Fab Speaker System February 25, 2007 S. Cross (England) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I brought this speaker system 2 days ago and I think it's fantastic! The sound is great! and it's really loud too so it's ideal for parties. Also I like the fact that it has all different adapters for all the different ipods and you can play other mp3 players on it too! I know some people have mentioned in their reviews that they have experience clicking noises on their system, but I have to say that I have not experience any sort of clicking noises on my system and it's been great so far! This speaker system is fab and I think it's a great price too! so if your'e looking for speaker system that's loud and sounds great! look no further than the GEAR4 HouseParty II Speaker System with remote control for all iPods.
Fantastic speaker system - perfect for the job required. April 16, 2007 K. Briggs (London) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I wasn't sure which system to buy. I just needed to have a speaker system that could play my nano in my living room. Instead I have something that (if I was feeling very selfish towards my neighbours) could fill the house with sound. It's easy to use, looks stylish and is much cheaper than the likes of [...]. Nothing in life is perfect so areas for improvement - The remote is very flimsy, I'm worried about it breaking! It would be nicer if it had a click wheel to replicate my ipod's functions. Overall: For the money [...], its a great quality product. And the delivery service was excellent (& free) - I was told to expect it to take 7-10 days to deliver, instead it took just 5 days. At the end of the day, I trust Amazon over all the other online retailers. Thanks to all the other reviews which help me make the right decision for me.
Gear4 HouseParty2 Speaker system... Excellent Value. December 8, 2006 PC (UK) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Having read some negative reviews for this system I didn't expect it to be very good. I was pleasantly surprised... I already have a Bose system for downstairs, and wanted this for upstairs... It can't compete with the Bose system for overall sound quality, but its still very good, and is a fith of the price, it is excellent value for money... The remote control is better than the Bose system as you have full operation of the Ipod as well... I would definately recommend this system at this price... excellent value.
Budget price iPod speakers June 10, 2006 S. D. Midgley (UK) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
Just taken receipt of this speaker and at a quarter of the price of the BOSE system, it does represent good value for money. Only a couple of issues, the speaker does not pick up extremes of the stereo mix. I listened to Streisand's Putting It Together from the Broadway album and some of the voices in the opening dialogue are ghosted. Also the remote is a little small and has to be directly lined up with the speaker to work. However, at the price, what do you expect. Just ordered a second one for the study
"Impressed" July 27, 2006 Kimama (Wales) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Having ummed and ahhed over which set of speakers to get for my birthday as a present from my husband and not wanting to spend an absolute fortune I settled on the Gear4 HouseParty II and I am glad I did. The sound is good enough for me, the volume is loud enough for a party or quiet enough for background music and the system is small and stylish and fits in anywhere in the house with remote being easy to use. My husband kept saying "I'm impressed" which is a rare compliment indeed and my 8 year old son figured out the remote in two seconds flat. Excellent piece of kit.
