POWER INVERTER AC/DC 240V to 12V Review July 29, 2007 Mr. Matthew Gilchrist (Dundee, Scotland, UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This product allows you to connect in-car toys that would normally need a cigarette lighter socket to a plug inside your house, pure genius. And at the price you get it from Gizmo-Deals it was a all round good buy.
Very handy device August 10, 2007 S. P. Gordon (Doncaster, U.K.) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a very handy device, not just for around the house and garage, but I use it when I go camping. We have electric hookup, and a lot of our devices, eg lights, cooler boxes etc run of 12V. Therefore this device is a god send and very reasonably priced.
Run 'In car' gadgets in the house. July 7, 2007 N. Elworthy (Wales. UK) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
At time of writing The title should read 240V to 12V and not 5v. Great idea. This power inverter has a normal 240 volt mains plug one side and the same type of cigar lighter power socket as you get in a car on the other. When I'm not using the car I can now keep batteries topped up on those in car gadgets via this little gizmo or it will run most of those gadgets you only use in the car from the mains supply at home. It doesn't have enough power to run the cigar lighter itself or a 12 volt fridge, but a torch designed to plug into the car socket fitted directly and charged as normal. I have tried the 12 volt chargers from my mobile, camcorder and GPS all ran without problems. At the price I paid you can't go wrong.
Simple and cheap. Does what it says December 12, 2007 R. Baker (Derbyshire, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Haven't got a mains lead for your GPS and I haven't for my My Guide 3100 and not being prepared to spend 29.99 for one I found the solution was this for 6.01. Simply plug this device into your household mains plug and plug into it your in car power lead and thats it. What a brilliant idea. Works for mobile phones and my "Parrot" hands free phone device and I guess all devices which you have an in car power lead.

I bought this for my Bluetooth handsfree kit so that I can charge it at home. It works perfectly and I am delighted with it.
