Excellent sound quality August 13, 2007 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
Full, warm bass and clean treble, reduced external noise, and comfortable to wear. The sound quality is so good (and I'm fussy about these kinds of things) that I find myself listening to my iPod even more than I used to. It's true that the in-ear design means you get rumble from the cable when you move, but I don't find this a problem. Highly recommended.
Good for cycling, but not running. September 1, 2007 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
For cycling, great, because there's no need to turn up the volume and be periodically deafened and unable to hear as traffic goes past. For such a good price, the quality of the noise isolation is great. However, in the city I wouldn't recommend using them for cycling, because you will be unable to hear traffic around you. For rural parts, though, perfect. However, don't try them for jogging. The cable picks up on the shocks as you run, causing the sound to get distorted. I imagine this is annoying if you are a runner, but since I'm not they are fine for me. The Eco packaging is a great idea, it's not a huge blister pack like you might find in the shops but a really small cardboard package. If everything was packaged like this, we'd get along fine.
Better than the black ones August 31, 2007 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
I previously owned the black CX300's which broke a few weeks ago after being battered around for the best part of the year. I got stuck using your basic in ear headphones until these arrived, and you really notice the difference. The bog standard headphones felt uncomfortable and sounded pretty bad.
Then these white CX300's arrived, nice and cheap and the sound quality (especially base) is pretty awesome still. But the main thing is the cable, the white ones have a kinda rubberised cable, which feels nicer and a lot more flexible than the black one. The cable is what broke on the black ones, the sheathing breaking in two places.
I heartily recommend these CX300's, and the eco packaging's a nice idea too.

These ear phones are awesome, incredible bass sound when the correct size ear piece fits you. The only slightly annoying thing is the cable is a bit too asymmetrical and seems to be made for someone with a bloaty head! all the same they are leagues above the ipod ones. If you buy these ear phones new there will be two distinct price groups, those under 5 and those over about 15. Needless to say the under 5 will pretty much always be fake. When buying over 15 make sure to check who is selling them and what they're ratings have been and they should be genuine. The other alternative is to buy them retail for 35-40. Also, never buy these from ebay, even the more expensive ones are fake!
Too lazy to run, so they sound great to me. November 8, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought the CX300's from Amazon, and for the money no other headphones come close. The clarity of the sound and the punch of the bass really is a cut above the rest. Another bonus of these headphones is that, along as you use the correct size buds for your ears they hardly leak any sound at all. So you can listen to your music at a very loud volume and not inflict your music on anyone in the same train carriage, unlike the millions of mp3 player owners who insist on using the standard headphones. Also, some of the people that have reviewed these, have mentioned that one of the leads is longer than the other. They are SUPPOSED to be like this! The longer right ear headphone lead is supposed to go around the back of your neck. Try it you might like it.
