5 out of 5 stars iPOD perfect!   June 13, 2005

I was looking for something to carry my iPOD and act as speakers, and this was it. I wasn't sure how it would sound, but the sound quality is fantastic, the case is robust, it is battery operated (rechargeable ones are fine), and small and neat.

It would work for any MP3 player, or similarly sized walkman, phone, gameboy etc, in fact anything with a minijack socket.

Perfect compact solution if you need speakers for your MP3 player. The sound quality is good, the casing is splashproof and shock proof and looks pretty good, and it is plug and play out of the box (just connect it via the headphone socket)
Requires 2 AAA batteries, and seems to have a good battery life
Ideal for car or travel, the case comes with straps and cushioned innner lining. You can also put keep you MP3 player inside the bag in the slot provided (you can certainly fit a mini ipod, and maybe something bigger)
1.5 Watts RMS NXT speaker

5 out of 5 stars High Quality and great sound   February 4, 2006

When i first recieved the case, i was suprised at how high the build quality was. The outer covering is made from a high quality wetsuit sort of material which looks like it could take alot of wear and tear.

I wasnt expecting the sound to be that good, as the case isnt huge, however i was pleasently suprised, the sound wasnt tinny, it had a nice punch to the bass and there was no distortion. I was also worried that my IRiver mp3 player, which isnt the smallest around, wouldnt fit in, however it fits in nice and snugly, with some space to spair.

This is a quality product which i totally recommend to anyone looking for potection for their mp3 players, but who dont want the hassle of carrying round speakers . Well worth it!

I purchased these speakers to take on holiday with me and they're absolutely fantastic. Combined with my iRiver I had a full portable stereo for my room and even ended up taking them to the beach. Great sound for such a small little system, I was surprised at how good it sounded even when outside. Will be taking them away with me every time I go away now - no more business trips sitting in hotels watching CNN when I can take my whole music collection to listen to! Also gave me a lot more comfort that my iRiver wouldn't get damaged carrying it around given the sturdy casing. Dead handy little add on of you're a mp3 player fan.

This is an excellent solution,
The case is sturdy and splash proof and looks the part, it has two velcro fastners on the back for your belt, you can wear it upright or horizontal

Looks
Space inside is a bit cramped, your ipod fits nicely but fitting in the headset will take a bit of pushing. The inside it has a neoprene cushion so it will fit nice an snug around any mp3 player. If you have an ipod you can even operate the touchweel through the netting cover so you dont have to take it out.

Sound
Good to very good. A hint here NTX does not do bass very well, full stop. Over all though the sound is good for a portable solution like this.My advice play around with the equalizer settings a bit to get the best results.
Is it loud, yes it is loud enough for a hotel room or Beach or pool use without disturbing the neighbours.

The box has only one speaker so it will be glorious mono, but having said that if you need stereo you can use your headset, On my travels I'm not looking for high-end stereo, i have that at home ;o}
