Excellent! Superb Quality! March 18, 2006 Friend 22 out of 23 found this review helpful
I bought these to replace the crappy headphones supplied with the PSP. I was so amazed! I never heard a sound so loud as that on my PSP (seeming that the White PSP Headphones are supposed to be "Ear-Friendly" - A.K.A Crappy). The bass was excellent and I actually felt the difference in sound when you changed the equalizers. Clearly the several magazines that recommended these headphones were right! Great quality! Really Cheap (Why Waste Money On Those Expensive Sony Ones When You Can Get These?)! Came with a nice lovely wind up case that didn't feel cheap, and a pair of black earbuds. Overall, HIGHLY recommended, espacially if you're a PSP user!
Amazing Little Performers - Fantastic September 25, 2006 Dr. J. Akhtar (uk) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
For the physical size and price , these things are just amazing. Sound quality , range , dyanamics etc are just remarkable. Listening to Blues, rock , Jazz and so on , these headphones sound as good as the larger more expensive sets You will not be disappointed
Good sound quality, feels more expensive than they are September 11, 2006 Steven M. Ward (Milton Keynes, UK) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Sennheiser have a very good name in headphones and the MX500s do not disappoint. I bought the MX500s just before buying a pair of Sony MDR-EX71s. The EX71s are better in absolute sound quality, but only when you try them side-by-side. By themselves, the MX500s sound fine, with reasonable bass and good definition. Comfort is reasonable but they might be slightly large for some ears. They come with a great carrying case which protects the headphones when not in use, something Sony could learn from. If you have a larger budget, go for the EX71s, but if you want a pair of good quality day-to-day headphones for about a tenner then the Sennheisers are a better choice.
Excellent upgrade September 8, 2006 Listener (N Yorkshire, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have just bought the Sennheiser mx500 headphones as an upgrade from the sennheiser 100 in-ear I have used up until now. I chose them because of their good reviews - but was slightly sceptical about the raves for these tiny, very cheap numbers. I was wrong. What a revelation. I listen to classical music on my MP3 - these headphones have transformed this kind of listening. A much fuller and airier sound. They do real justice to music ranging from Bach's keyboard music through to Mahler. They make my old pair sound positively thin - though these were far better than in-box horrors Comfortable too, with a good carry case. Definitely recommended.
Worth the money June 25, 2007 Mr. S. TREW (Northern Ireland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After reading many reviews I chose these headphones and I was very pleased. I have used them everyday for over a year, they simply get stuffed into my pocket when not in use. So they do take a bashing. The sound is very good quality and they are really good value for money. The volume slider on the cable is very handy too. The cable is not too durable however, and I had to put a little tape around where it joins to the jack to stop it breaking. Just recently there are a few cracks and breaks in the sound - it seems to be wearing out. But at this price I'd easily buy the same again. Buying a new set every year for such good quality is worth it.
