Just got this little sucker and I'm totally hooked. I have a top Naim stereo in the living room but I never seem to find the time to listen to it. More likely, you will find me in the kitchen with coffee, newspaper and music thumping out of this amazing little box. Whilst it has no discernible bass, it really does get into the details of the music. It manages to separate the instruments, and vocals are surprisingly clear. Best of all, it is totally portable and will travel with me wherever I go. My only niggle is that it would be nice if there was a proper carrying case to replace the cheap plastic box it comes in.
Small and Mighty October 9, 2008 D. Clarke (Northamptonshire, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have been looking around for a portable speaker system for a while, considering the streetparty and various other makes. My first impressions were just how small the unit is, I was worried that it wouldn't measure up in the sound department. I don't own an ipod and have been using my little 1 gb sony player and the results are great, sound is crisp and clear and the volume from such small speakers is amazing. I am no audio expert but wow! Ok these are more expensive but the extra price is really worth it. The only slight problem is that it doesn't come with a power supply just a usb lead for power from a computer, but this is small omission for a great little package.
A superb sound box! September 25, 2008 Ian (Wiltshire, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a really excellent piece of kit. Simple to use; compact and robust; looks great and sounds just fabulous (only used it with an iPod so far - not tried other input sources). The plastic case is neat and sturdy. The only possible drawback is the iPod docking facility which protrudes from the top of the unit and makes a connection which is quite easy to accidentally disconnect and may be a bit fragile (just in case you are reading in, manufacturer take note: a better solution would be to sink the dock, like on the Bose iPod unit - maybe a refinement for the next version?). But this doesn't detract from a 5* performance.
