FOR SOME HELP February 5, 2008 Ms. D. E. Lowe (England, Land of the Wet) 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
This card will work fine with many older phones and will work with the LG Viewty. Insert the card into your computer and format it in FAT 16 using 64k clusters. You will lose some space, but not loads. When you insert it into the LG viewty it will say that you only have 2gb, this is because the LG viewty can only "see" up to 2 gb, but you will be able to play all files record videos and add new files etc. Hope this helps, enjoy PS. If you have filled your card up you may experioence some lag when it comes to loading files.
4GB microSD for just over a tenner - bargain May 28, 2008 S. Ahmed (London) 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
I initially thought there was a fault with my existing USB memory card reader since Windows wouldn't recognise this 4GB microSD card when I stuck it in the USB port, even though the card was recognised and works fine with my Nokia N95 phone. After a bit of research on the net, I discovered that because this microSD card is the the new SDHC technology it requires a SDHC compatible USB card reader in order to be able to read/write using a PC. The normal SD card readers will not work with the newer SDHC cards. I then got a SDHC compatible reader off a well-known auction site for 1.50 and it works fine and shows up on my PC now as a removable drive. Another thing I learnt was the SDHC cards are available in different 'classes'. The higher the class rating, the faster read/write speed of the media. This card is Class 2, and is fine for using with my Nokia N95 for capturing Video and playing back MP3 tracks which play back without being jumpy or stuttering. However for SD card camcorder purposes you may be advised to go for a higher class such as class 5 or 6 for smooth video recording as they require huge data writing at fast speed. I received the microSD card with a SD card adaptor only and no USB reader included. This wasn't much of a surprise since the product advertised made no claims about a reader being included. The customers who refer to the picture showing the pack with the reader included should note it was submitted by another user, and not the official Amazon product picture which just shows the card itself. I bought direct from Amazon who shipped with free supersaver delivery as my total order was over 15 and it arrived very quickly, so top marks again from a once-more satisfied customer!
Nokia N95 August 31, 2007 Mr. Sean Jennings (UK) 46 out of 48 found this review helpful
The order came quickly, great service Amazon. The Card works in my Nokia N95, some websites, forums people was not sure about compatability with the Nokia N95 but it works great in mine. Good product would recommend.
Quality product, rip off postage December 28, 2007 Sophie Melly (Luton, England) 20 out of 21 found this review helpful
The product was delivered in great time, before it was even due to be dispatched apparently! The card is fully compatable with my Nokia N95. The only issue with this was the extortionate postage charge! 4.50 for a tiny, light item is a rip off by any standards. If this cost were to be rectified for future customers this service would be perfect
Sandisk MicroSD June 21, 2008 Mr. T. A. M. Hughes (Wallasey, England) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Just received this item this morning despite opting for free delivery - it came 4 days ahead of schedule, Thanks Amazon! Right, now the Card works in my HTC S620 Smartphone without problems (except the always-misleading size) Let me explain. * The Card is indeed 4GB in size, however the Phone/any other electronic device reads it as 3.79GB as computers calculate space in binary and we calculate it in hexadecimal (or the other way round - not too sure) and so the computer always reads that the card has less space than advertised. Anyway, the card has an excellent transfer rate through the supplied adapter (no - the adapter to put it into a USB drive is NOT included, however a MicroSD - normal SD adapter is included. See the customer review and its the adapter in the middle) I had a 5.22Mbps transfer rate (that's quite quick seeing as i use my printer's SD slot :P) Anyone wondering whether they should get this card - do so, it works fine, ships fast and arrives securely packaged. Tom
