5 out of 5 stars Lovely case   December 6, 2007

This is a lovely little case to protect your zen. It does not make your zen "larger" as some cases do, if you see what I mean -- the skin is both protective and compact. It had a popper to clip to your belt and a magnetised cover to keep it from opening accidentally. Not much more to say except that it's well worth the money and I didn't regret buying one.

5 out of 5 stars love it!   September 17, 2008

I bought this when i first got my creative zen for my holidays in may, and its worked a treat. the Zen is very smooth and slidey so this keeps a good hold of it, and ensures the screen won't get scratched with the cover. Love the magnet on the flip of the cover to keep it closed.

Also the texture of leather is nice, feels and looks good quality!

A great buy. not one scratch on my ZEN!

:)

4 out of 5 stars Does what it says on the tin - but is it leather????   March 14, 2008

Nice compact case for the Zen. Has a nice feel to it although smells very plasticky!

I thought the belt loop would be a pain but actually (I don't know whether it's supposed to do this) it acts as a perfect stand for watching videos on the train. A big, unexpected plus.

Some kind of screen protector would help and slightly annoying is the inside edge of the case slightly covers the 'next track' button.

The holders for SD cards would be useful but I've got a 4gb SDHC card in which is plenty for the videos I need to have on it.

Good looking case that would get 5 start were it not for a couple of minor irritations.

4 out of 5 stars Fairly good   January 30, 2008

This leather may be good for carrying around cliped to your trousers or whatever but I thought that it would of been best to have a see through plastic cover where the screen is so that the screen is fully protected. There's a massive gap at the front where the screen is which can make the screen easy to be damaged.

But all in all, it's a good case. The size is just right so it's not hard getting in and not as easy to fall out.

4 out of 5 stars A bit pricey but good protection for your Zen   November 3, 2008

This leather case for the Zen works well for me. Although I'd agree with other reviewers that it doesn't have a screen protector when the case is open, it will be closed (and fairly securely fastened by the clever magnetic closure) when it's in your bag or pocket, so this isn't really an issue for me. The player sits comfortably inside the case. It isn't 'skin tight' but having done a few (careful) experiments, I don't think my Zen is likely to fall out either. Unlike an earlier reviewer, my case smelt 'leathery' rather than plasticky when it came out of the box. It doesn't show up too well on the picture but there is a trim of red piping around the edges of the case. If you want the all black look, you'll need to look elsewhere but I quite like the red.
All the buttons are easily accessible, as are the various ports although I do question whether the fabric label bearing the logo "Creative" is actually best placed so that it partially covers the headphone socket.
I like the way that the belt clip doubles up as a stand so you can watch videos with your digital friend sitting on your desk.
Yes, of course this is fairly expensive for a small leather pouch. But, on the other hand, it protects something that cost me lot more money very well, enhances my use (by providing that stand) and looks quite nice. You could no doubt buy a cheaper case, but it wouldn't be specifically designed for your Zen and may not protect it quite as well.
