Great Little Gadget September 8, 2008 Aj Horne 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
For those who have read the previous comment on this ipod dock, IGNORE IT!!!. It is actualy very easy to set this system up. If you follow the instructions properly then it is a breeze and works like a charm. With respect to the backlight staying on all of the time. This is nothing to do with the dock it is in the settings for the ipod itself and usually goes off after about 10 seconds on its own but can be altered in the ipod settings. This is a fantastic little gadget and the sound quality is brilliant for the size and cost.
Waking up never tasted so good! September 16, 2008 I. R. Fraser 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Have been using one of these for a while now and ive got to say that the quality is excellent and makes a nice change being able to wake up to my favourite playlist. I have had no problems with the backlight on mine it just goes off automatically after about 10 seconds. Great Value!
Good Morning Equals Good Times October 21, 2008 A. West (Hampshire, England) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
This little gadget of joy has made my mornings worth waking up for! What I did before god only knows! Every morning I wake to my own music rather than an annoying voice on the radio, or an irritating buzz. It's so easy to program, (You just put your ipod on the dock and it does the rest!) I'm not sure where others have had trouble?... I spent forever looking at all the alarm clocks on amazon, trying to pick a clock that looked nice, and would be pleasant to wake to. Other alarm clocks all seem to have their faults, from flashing between the date and the time, to being bulky and ugly, to just a poor/annoying buzz for a wake up call. I'm student, and I don't really have 25 to just throw around willy-nilly, but this truely is worth every penny. I've not missed a lecture since getting this clock, waking up to cheery tunes. The only two buttons are the Snooze button, and the volume control. Seriously, it is so ergonomic. I use it as a ipod speaker aswell, with it's superior sound quality and cute speakers, it's just perfect. It's very sleek, and they have even build an ingenious system for allowing any size of ipod. I could rave on about this alarm clock all day, honestly, who knew an alarm clock (usually despised for taking us away from our precious beds) would be so loveable.
looks cute...is rubbish November 11, 2007 Jennie Caminada (UK) 43 out of 48 found this review helpful
I was so excited when I got this home, as it looks solid and nice and like it should do the job perfectly. Instructions are very very minimal. I am not stupid or a technophobe but it was very unclear how to set this up and it took two of us half an hour to figure it out. You have to set the alarm on the ipod but in a complicated way whilst docked in the alarm clock. Then you set the "sound" by choosing a playlist. You cannot choose where in the playlist it may start to play. Sometimes the ipod continues to beep annoyingly, meaning it hasn't taken the instructiona and you may have to repeat the set up 6 times, and every time you dock this may happen again. Then, horror of horrors, when you try to go to sleep you realise there's no way to turn the back light off so your ipod glows all night. I hid it as far under my bed as I could, but this defeats the purpose of having a snooze button if you have to go under the bed to retrieve it the next morning. The snooze button is great and the only ting that works as it should. However you can't turn the ipod off when you get up without taking it out of the alarm clock altogether. The sound is excellent, and it functions well as a cute speaker, and you can play tunes without interfering with the alarm function. I took it back after two nights of trying to sleep through the bright light and getting annoyed with the randomness of the tunes I as waking up to, and the inability to turn it off easliy. I can only say don't bother. Most ipod speaker systems would do the same job as you actually use the alarm on your ipod, the only thing this clock adds is a snooze function. Not at all worth the money!
