A quality MP3 Player from Sanyo. November 22, 2005 sm (Wirral) 98 out of 99 found this review helpful
I purchased the Sanyo MP3 Player for one of my Daughters' Birthday. It seemed a lot of GB's for the money. We'd had cheap MP3 Players before, they felt cheap and nasty and broke quickly. When this arrived,we were pleasantly surprised with the quality feel and ease of use.So much so,we've purchased a second one for my other Daughters' Xmas Present. On the downside,a power adaptor isn't supplied,as the Player is charged when connected to the USB Port on the Computer. The adaptor at 17 isn't cheap but as both my Daughters will share one,the price is bearable. This MP3 takes some beating and i have no hesitation in recommending it.
A Great Little Product November 2, 2005 Will (UK) 99 out of 101 found this review helpful
Only £99 - You must be joking? - or at least that's what I thought at first. So I bought one, and this is a fantastic piece of kit. 6 Gb memory, small, compact and easy to use - My mates are well jealous and the sound quality is excellent too. I had an I pod but the battery was rubbish - this one goes on and on and on and on... Well worth it, I'd recommend it every time.
Now why would you buy and Apple or Sony instead? October 9, 2005 S. Bruntlett (Leicester, England) 97 out of 100 found this review helpful
This is a brilliant pice of kit. The sound is OK with the included earpieces but with a decent pair of headphones, such as the Sennheiser PX100's that I use, the sound is simply superb especially when listening to MP3s at 320kbps. Quite why people make do with rubbish earpieces when listening to MP3 players I have simply no idea. The included song management software works just fine but as this is a hard disc MP3 player it's easy enough to just copy MP3 files across to the player's hard drive as you would any other. The control system of the player itself is a doddle to use. I wouldn't bother spending another 50 on a Nano with only a third of the storage space unless you prefer looking cool to being able to listen to a decent size library. OK the Sanyo is quite a bit thicker and heavier than a stick of chewing gum but at the price why look elsewhere.
First impressions October 4, 2005 110 out of 115 found this review helpful
Seems like the previous reviewer hasn't actually seen or used the item, hate it when people do that but I digress. Was going to get a 2GB Ipod Nano but saw this for  40 cheaper, more storage space and far less trendy - a win all round. Unit is nice and small, about 5x4x1 in inches, fits easily into the hand. Sound quality seems pretty decent from the included earphones - unfortuntaely they're white (bandwagon anyone?) but I'll live. Included file manager software seems user friendly enough and does it's job. Can't comment on battery life yet, happy with the purchase thus far!
Inexpensive, but very effective December 31, 2005 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I bought this Sanyo MP3 player as a replacement Christmas present, replacing a faulty Logik MP3 player I received from Curry's. The Logik MP3 player I received cost my parents £79.99 and had 3.3Gb of capacity, but really wasn't up to much, and had the added complication of crashing my PC every time it was connected to it, so I took it back to where it came from, got a refund, then came home and ordered this Sanyo player. It might be £20 more expensive than the discounted Logik effort, but the difference between the two really is night and day. The Sanyo HDP-M3000 is made from reasonably high quality materials, has a clear, brightly lit, legible LCD display, easy to use file transfer software, an easy to navigate menu, almost double the capacity of my faulty Logik player, and all the product information you're ever likely to need already installed on it. The sound with the headphones provided is perfectly clear at 192kbps, and the equaliser can be easily re-adjusted to suit all music tastes. All in all, a great effort from Sanyo, especially for £99.99. It's just a shame it isn't more widely available on the high street - if it were, I could easily see it giving the lower priced version of the iPod Nano a very, very hard time.
