Product Description The iPod touch is a revolutionary addition to the iPod range! It has a touch interface and the same panoramic screen as the iPhone, as well as a WiFi Internet connection. The iPod touch boasts a multi-touch interface, putting all your music and video files at your fingertips. The iPod touch also has WiFi connectivity so you can instantly access Google, Yahoo! Search and the millions of free videos available on YouTube. Unbelievably slim at just 8mm thick, the iPod touch has a superb 3.5 panoramic screen, which is perfect for watching films or TV programmes and for displaying photos and album covers. The iPod touch is also equipped with an accelerometer, which recognises the position of the player. When the iPod is in music mode, the Cover Flow function automatically displays album covers so you can flip through your music library quickly and easily. The iPod touch also has an ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen according to the environment. The iPod touch offers up to 22 hours of audio playback and up to 5 hours' playback in video mode. The iPod touch is set to revolutionise the world of digital music players!

Great piece of kit September 13, 2008 Mark Scott (London, UK) 80 out of 80 found this review helpful
Arrived on the 12th September. First impressions box looks impressive. The touch did not disappoint. This latest version has a slimmer profile, a speaker, external volume control and comes with version 2.1 although I still had to update the firmware. Very similar spec to the 1st version. Easy to use and loads apps to download. The internet browser is easy to zoom in with and connecting to home wifi worked fine. Loads of applications to add from itunes, lots of them free. Downloaded a video and that looks great too. You do need to connect the touch to a PC with itunes first as you cannot just connect to wifi and use it without sync'ing it first. Well worth the money a great gadget you will have fun playing with for a long time to come. Battery life - Had it on all day today listerning to music and connect to my home wifi. Lastest about 13 hours before warning that the battery was down to 20%. Obviously if I had turned off the wifi it would have lasted longer
Superb October 8, 2008 A. Sweeney (UK) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
I dont like Apple products generally, but the new Ipod Touch is the coolest and most functional item I have ever bought. It really has that "wow!" factor and does everything you would want from an MP3 and then loads more. Plus you can easily, finally, load mp3s from your computer to the IPOD. You can surf the internet easily and comfortably - no more fiddling about this makes surfing on a small device practical and simple. Viewing youtube is also a big boost and it looks great. Same comments go for the email, photo viewer, map etc. etc... It is just one superbly designed piece of equipment that seems to know exactly what the customer wants. It is a little expensive but I paid 229 euros for the 8GB and that was from europe and I must say it is worth it. Hats off to Apple.
Want the latest ipod? Here's how to get it for a fiver November 30, 2008 Jasmin 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Christmas is coming so save your cash! Why purchase something you can get for a fiver. Go to ipodgifts.net and sign up. Complete ONE offer- I would recommend Gala Bingo (you know, the one Sharon Osborne advertises for on tv),as this is cheap and fun (and you might win some money in the process!). If you really don't want to spend, there is a free Lovefilm trial. All companies are well known so there is no risk involved- give it a go! I got my Ipod and many other things this way, so don't miss out. I was a sceptic once but now I am SO glad I gave it a chance. B8C approved this system on their Newsnight programme a while back. Many items to choose from; ipod Shuffle, Nano, Touch, Classic or even an Iphone. They send your gift Free of charge Enjoy!
Eagerly anticipated... November 11, 2008 Patrick__W 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have waited eagerly for this iPod. The base model is practically identical apart from a few changes. A speaker allows for quiet sound to be played from the base of the iPod which is ideal for listening on the bus, with some friends but, the bass is very scratchy on loud output, but nice to see the inclusion of it. The unit, now has a curved back which Apple claims "is easier too hold", but I have no opinion on it myself. The addition of a side volume control is good as well. Other addition includes a Nike+ receiver built in for avid runners, and a new software update, with the update of Genius software. This allows you to choose a song, and for the iPod to choose up to 100 songs from your iPod to create play-lists, quickly and easily. The interface comes to life when in a Wi-Fi zone, allowing the maximum utility of the player. Connection to free internet allows YouTube, email, the latest live updates of weather and stocks, as well as google map function. The app store allows free application downloads, others have to paid for however. With the standard music and video browsing available, easy to access your music and videos - expectable with iPods. However, I feel that the 2nd gen lacks a certain something to make it stand out in a crowd like the 1st gen did. I don't know what I would like to see, I just feel the unit could include another 'blow your socks off' feature
Brilliant once the bugs ironed out November 25, 2008 LoisLane (London UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have deleted a previously too hasty review. I now think this is an amazing little gadget. The chief drawback was that I could not get my email account set up, but once I took it in to the Apple shop they got it up and running and then I really saw what it was about. Free email and internet access anywhere in the world where there is wifi, means that it's possible to dispense with a BlackBerry. The guide is not that helpful and you do have to hunt to find out how to do things such as downloading your Outlook contents. The keyboard size makes it easy to make mistakes, but as I started to explore the apps, I could see what a revolutionary product this really is.
